Assalamualaikum
In this post, I will focus on getting healthy not only on the outside, but also from the inside.
Being a Muslim, We all believe in Allah swt and His prophet, Muhammad saw. Definitely each and every of us feel there is a bond with Him. The only thing that determine how strong the bond, is our Iman. Iman is very subjective, it fluctuates all the time, as the prophete saying, we human who have nafs', nobody escapes sin, God forgive those who repents. Hence, how do we strengthen our Iman?
Easy, yet not everybody are determine to do so. The sweetness of the 'duniawi' often holds them back.
First and foremost, the pillar of being a muslim is 5 times a day prayer, when the pillars are broken, the whole building will collapse! Many people knows that praying is a must, however few do not perform them, well they know their reasons better of course.
Second, is zikr', it is the most easiest form of Ibadah to do, yet not many are able to do so. Why? Perhaps I'm not the right person to give the reason.
Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Allahuakbar, Lailahailallah,etc.
By saying all these prayer, they cost us nothing, yet the reward that will be given from Him is unmeasurable! Muslims should really take the opportunity to zikr' in their daily life, as the do not require ablution, even the ladies in menstruation are allowed to zikr'. Say it while driving, walking, even when we are about to sleep. hence time will not be wasted.
Third, cover your aurat. It's easy, yet some people are not able to do so. As we all know, the aurat of the males from their umbilicus to above their knee, and for the ladies, their whole body except their face and hands.
Fourth, mind our words, do not speak nonsense, and do not hurt people's feelings. Speak when necessary, and always think first before you speak out. It helps to avoid any unwanted situation that might arise from our words. (the writer should really take note of this point! errkk!)
There are many other things that ones should do in order to improve their iman. Other things like zakat, social interaction, behaviour, thought, etc will play role in determining our iman. However most importantly is our intention, if we are sincere, then all our ibadah will be counted by Him, and when this happen, we will achieve the calmness of our mind and soul, hence making our life runs smoothly.
My intention of posting this issue is not only to remind all of the reader, but also as a reminder to myself, as when we speak, He will test us of whether we do as we speak, or we are just one of the munafik who advice people, but they themselve disobey Him. Nauzubillah, hope all of us will not be tested like such.
Lastly, always lay our hopes on Him, He know better for us, it all has been written on the Lauh Mahfuz, we shall live our live as what has been written, yet always pray to him that we are among those who belief, and obtain Husnul Khatimah.. InsyaAllah
